Unlocking Veteran Talent: Data Centres Come Knocking
On Wednesday 16 September, 3:30pm–5:00pm, DCD Connect London – one of Europe's largest data centre industry events – is hosting a session dedicated entirely to forces talent. Held at the Business Design Centre in Islington, Unlocking Veteran Talent: Building the Data Center Workforce of the Future is organised in partnership with iMasons Armed Forces and features Angela Paterson, Senior Vice President of Talent, People and Culture at Salute, alongside a panel of veterans who have already made the move into the sector.
Expect candid, first-hand accounts of transitioning from military service into data centre careers, a look at how skills such as operational discipline, security awareness and working in mission-critical environments map directly onto the industry, and a practical steer for anyone weighing up digital infrastructure as a next step. The session runs as a panel discussion followed by an open Q&A and networking, and it's open to serving personnel, military spouses, veterans, reservists and anyone simply curious about the sector.

Three Free Events from British Forces Resettlement Services
Running either side of the DCD session, British Forces Resettlement Services (BFRS) – a social enterprise providing free support to Service Leavers, Veterans, Reservists and military families – has three events worth making a note of:
