CIVVY. Same you,
new uniform.

Leaving the Armed Forces doesn't mean leaving the life, experiences or community behind.

It simply means doing things differently.

CIVVY is a new lifestyle magazine for the UK's Armed Forces community — created for veterans, Service leavers and anyone who has worn the uniform and is finding their way through whatever comes next.

We wanted to create something that felt different from a traditional military publication. Not a magazine that looks backwards, but one that looks at what comes next because life after Service is about far more than the transition from one job to another.

It's about travel, careers, money, health, family, food, adventure, sport, cars, culture and all the things that make life interesting. It's about the people you meet, the things you discover and the opportunities you didn't know were out there.

And, of course, it's about the stories and memories.

Born from the Armed Forces community

CIVVY is the product of a veteran who believed there was room for something different — a publication that looked beyond Service life and celebrated everything that comes next.

He convinced a military writer and publisher, and a military spouse and senior designer, to join CIVVY's ranks. Collectively, the team boasts years of experience of military service, publishing, journalism, design and the world beyond the wire.

CIVVY is independent, personal and driven by a genuine belief that the Armed Forces community deserves a great lifestyle magazine of its own.

And we're building it with the people who read it.

Stories from people who've been there

Every issue of CIVVY brings together inspiring people from across the Armed Forces community — from household names and remarkable veterans to people quietly doing extraordinary things after leaving service.

We talk to people who have taken completely new directions, built businesses, travelled the world, pursued second careers, overcome challenges and simply got on with building a new life.

You'll find interviews, features, advice, ideas and plenty more.

Above all, CIVVY is about possibility.

The military may have been a huge part of your life, but it doesn't have to define what comes next.

What's inside CIVVY?

Expect a mix of:

People & stories

Fascinating interviews with veterans and members of the wider Armed Forces community.

Life after Service

Careers, business, money and making the most of civilian life.

Health & wellbeing

Practical advice and expert insight to help you look after yourself.

Travel & adventure

Places to go, things to do and new experiences to chase.

Cars, kit & technology

The gear, gadgets and machines worth knowing about.

Food & drink

Great places, good food and things worth trying.

Sport & fitness

Training, competition and the edge that service life leaves you with.

CIVVY's content is deliberately broad because life after the military is broad.

A magazine worth keeping

CIVVY isn't simply a website in print.

Our website is where you'll find regular news, updates and new content. The magazine is something different — a curated, beautifully-produced collection of longer-form features, interviews, photography, ideas and stories that you won't find by scrolling.

CIVVY is a premium, print magazine designed to be more than something you flick through and throw away.

It's something to pick up with a coffee, leave on the table, pass to a mate and come back to later.

Whether you've been out for 30 years, left six months ago or are still wondering what comes next, CIVVY is for you.

Same you. New uniform.

If you're part of the UK's Armed Forces community, we'd love you to join us.
